The Friends of El Paso Animal Services concept was started in 2017 by former City Representative Dr. Michiel Noe to support El Paso Animal Services’ lifesaving goal. The Friends of El Paso Animal Services Fund in the El Paso Community Foundation will bridge the gap between the city shelter and the animals in its care, providing innovative programs to help find forever homes for shelter animals. El Paso Animal Services provides exceptional care and treatment to improve the quality of life of pets in the shelter and the community. But it needs some help. Philanthropic support is a necessity to reach El Paso Animal Services’ goal of making El Paso a no-kill community.

The El Paso Community Foundation received the Cornerstone Award from the Texas Society of Architects (TxA) for our innovative architectural projects in El Paso. In 1986, the Foundation saved the Plaza Theater from demolition and conversion into a parking garage. The success of the restoration assisted in further investment in the area. Consequently, the Roderick Artspace Lofts were developed to provide affordable live/workspace for artists. We also led the international design competition for the new children’s museum. Snohetta was selected for the innovative build, and La Nube: The Shape of Imagination is under construction right now.
Howdy Homemade is impacting lives throughout the communities where shop owners have accepted the mission to create more jobs for people with IDDs through the power of our smiles and amazing ice cream. And we are bringing one to El Paso!
