Helen of Troy, a designer, developer and worldwide marketer of consumer brand-name housewares, health, home, and beauty products with U.S. headquarters in El Paso, is donating $1 million to the El Paso Children’s Museum and Science Center to finance its first-floor café, Little Stars Café.
In addition to all the exciting things to see, hear and do, the El Paso Children’s Museum and Science Center’s Little Stars Café funded by Helen of Troy will be a gathering place where visiting kids and families can refuel as they explore the museum. It will also serve as a haven where those in the community who live and work downtown can enjoy a lunch, snack, or drink.
“We are most appreciative of this significant donation by Helen of Troy. As El Paso’s only publicly traded company, Helen of Troy has always been at the forefront of giving to great causes in our City, and their sponsorship of the Little Stars Café further demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to El Paso. The Café will be a tremendous addition to the venue and to downtown in general,” said Josh Hunt, *Chairman of the Board *for the El Paso Children’s Museum and Science Center.
“Over the course of Helen of Troy’s 53-year history, we have had a longstanding tradition of supporting the communities in which our associates live and work. We have always believed in community engagement and good corporate citizenship. This donation to the El Paso Children’s Museum and Science Center is meant to help build an even stronger community and further reinforce Helen of Troy’s connection to El Paso,” said Julien Mininberg, Helen of Troy Chief Executive Officer. “We are excited about the new fun experiences and educational resources that will be available to the community, to our associates, and to their families when the Museum opens its doors.”
