Applications are now open for the ninth season of the El Paso Community Foundation Jewel Box Series at the Philanthropy Theatre. The deadline to apply is 11:59 pm July 26 at EPCF.org/jewelbox. There is no charge to submit.

The monthly performing arts series runs Sunday afternoons from October 2024 through May 2025 in the 200-seat Philanthropy Theatre in the Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Centre.

The Jewel Box Series is open to a wide variety of performing artists and groups from the El Paso border region. Music, dance, drama, and multi-media performances are more than welcome in this rare opportunity to showcase the creativity in our community. Selections will be announced in August.

The Jewel Box Series was created in partnership with El Paso Live in 2014 to help ease the financial burden of performing in the Philanthropy Theatre. In its first eight seasons, it has hosted productions by playwright-screenwriter Mark Medoff, playwright Camilla Carr, theater director Hector Serrano, Border Theatre, puppeteer Anthony Michael Stokes, singer Emily Davis, guitarist Doug Adamz, and the Sisters of the Moon belly dance troupe.
